I guide on the New River out of a "ClackaCraft Drift Boat" and a Tracker "Grizzly" 17' Mercury powered jet boat. Water conditions, location we fish , will determine which boat we use. The jet boat is equipped with a Mercury 60/40 hp jet and Minn Kota trolling motor w/i-pilot and Lowrance HDS. I have modified this Clackacraft specifically for smallmouth & musky fishing on the New River. The Tennessee striper boat is a 24' SEA ARK with 8' rod box, float pods, lots of storage and room to spare equipped with 115hp Suzuki 4stroke, Minn Kota terrova trolling motor, HDS Lowrance and 50 gallon Oxygen Edge bait tank. |
Striper trips are all in Tennessee at PEAK times for either numbers of fish or BIG fish
